Our florists are creative, innovative, and comfortable working independently or in a team-oriented environment. We expect you to gain an understanding of flowers, and havave or learn the mastery of the elements of floral design; including line, color, form, depth, texture, balance, contrast, and fluidity. You'll be a core connection to our clients, so excellent communication skills and top-notch customer service are vital for this position.
Floral Artist's responsibilities:

Receive flower orders from wholesalers and calculate retail flower prices

Communicate wholesaler flower credits to shop manager

Assist with processing flowers (involves lifting, bending, squatting, and using florist shears)

Design floral arrangements according to order specifications
-
Responsible for procedures for scheduled shift (opening, midday and closing)

Conduct quality control of floral arrangements leaving the shops

Provide excellent customer service and process orders via phone

Assist customers as a cashier and process payments

Champion the flower cooler - ensure it’s fresh, in palette + OFF THE CHAIN at all times

Collaborate with shop manager and merchandiser to ensure dried flowers are in-stock and displayed properly

Care for plants according to watering schedule (involves climbing a ladder)

Maintain and assist with gift product merchandising

Identifies additional tasks to be completed and willingly assists others.

Forms strong working relationships within a team

Physical requirements:
-
Lift moderately heavy loads up to 50 lbs.

Ability to bend, reach, kneel, squat, and stand for long periods of time.

POSITION DETAILS:
Position Title: Florist
Employment Status: Starting part-time - eligible for full time after 90 days
Start Date: April 5th, 2022
Reports to: Retail Manager & Lead Florist (Owner)
Payment: $16-$20/hour negotiable depending on experience
Work Hours: On average 30 hours per week. Work schedule to be determined by business needs.
Benefits: PTO for sick days 48 hours a year - eligible after 90 days. Healthcare available. You are covered under our Workers’ Comp insurance.
